Preventative maintenance is a must when it comes to septic tanks. Golden Plains Septics advise to have your septic tank inspected and/or pumped out once every 4 years and treatment plants once a year. This will help avoid sludge building up, which could lead to the destruction of pumps, treatment equipment and/or sand filter pits.
